Testing Cycles

In general, each project has 3 cycles -- Beta 1, Beta 2 and Final 1. For a large project, there may be more cycles.

The following is a quick summary of the entry and exit criteria for each project:

* Entry Criteria:
For Beta 1:
No P1 Bug (depending on the severity of the P1 bug)
Translation verification 95% is completed

For Beta 2:
95% installation bugs in b1 are fixed
No P1 & P2 bugs and version error
95% of P3 &P4 bugs in b1 are fixed

For Final 1:
No P1 & P2 bugs & version error
95% of all P3 & P4 bugs are fixed

* Exit Criteria
For Beta 1:
All installation tests and version check are completed
General functionality test cases 95% are completed
Other testing is completed
All Bug reports are completed & filed onto RADAR with unique RADAR ID

For Beta 2:
All test cases are completed
Bug regression is completed
System regression is completed
Compatibility testing with applications and Apple Extras is completed
All Bug reports are completed & filed onto RADAR with unique RADAR ID

For Final 1:
ReadMe and Manuals are verified
Bug regression is completed
System regression is completed
Testing on soft-bundled CD like "Elex Software CD" is completed
