eVision CompuTech Co., Ltd, was founded in 1996 by a small group of highly adept translators and computer technology experts who saw a great opportunity in the newly emerging need for software localization in China. The group came together with the clear goal of being one of the top localization providers in Mainland China. Through several years of development, eVision now features software localization as well as Web multimedia application and development. Our target platform is not only based on Mac, but also on pervasive Wintel machines.

eVision's approach to client relations is to focus on forming long-term partnerships with its customers. Since it was founded, eVision has completed hundreds of Mac OS-based projects, such as Mac OS 9&X, Final Cut Pro, , etc. In addition, eVision has also developed various Chinese applications for Adobe Systems Inc., Macromedia Inc., and Netscape Communications Corporation, such as Adobe Photoshop 5.02 for both Mac and PC, Netscape Communicator 4.72 for Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. Particularly, eVision developed some Mac-based Sherlock 2&3 plugins for the leading Chinese e-Business provider 8848.com and the biggest Chinese portal website sohu.com (NASDAQ: SOHU), etc.

The other major field in which eVision is engaged is multimedia and web application development. We are able to provide cross-platform web solutions, especially for those enterprises requiring cutting-edge multimedia technologies.

We keep regular communication and cooperation with developers in Taiwan, Japan and South Korea. At present, we have more than 40 employees. We attend Apple WWDC (Worldwide Developer Conference) every year and other special workshops to improve the skill and performance of our staffs.

Today, we are the localization/testing center for Apple in Asia, which provides us a great opportunity and challenge. To speed up the development and ensure quality, a rigorous custom procedural workflow system has been designed and implemented to guarantee the highest possible quality of localization results as well as the maximum level of throughput efficiency. Strict hiring and personnel policies have also set forth to ensure that the company maintains the standards of technical knowledge and English proficiency set by the original group as the organization is being expanded.
